So I am trying to OC my 8600gt using AtiTool. The temps are pretty good(bout 66c load) but when I am scanning for artifacts, how long should I wait before considering it a safe or stable OC?

For me Ill do a 15-20 min artifact scan, the ill run 3dmark06. If 3dmark runs through with out artifacts then youre good to go.

I recommend an hour or so. I hardly ever make it that long, though, lol. I usually do 2-3 minute test when starting out. The, after I get artifacts, I drop 10 mhz or so and try again. Repeat until stable for an hour. Reboot and run 3dmark.
