At stock speeds there is no need for sinks on the RAM or the mosfets. They certainly help once you start to OC, however.
__________________As long as you ground yourself, you should be fine touching running components. I find it to be quite necissary to diagnose certain things. There is no greater chance for static to damage a running component than one that is totaly powered down. If you touch a card to install it, you are placing it in as much, or more (as the component is not grounded outside of a plugged in system), than if you touch it while running.

I disagree. How many 8800GT owners run at reference clocks?

__________________I think ramsinks are for show. I attached my Zalman cooler on the card and it was only a few degrees cooler than the stock one. The ram chips got HOT...but they are probably better than cooking under the stock oven cooler. I just finished lapping the Zalman cooler and I'll put it on there and see how it goes.
