Default G92 Stock cooler mods

I was wondering if anyone has come up with or found any mods for the stock cooler of G92 GTSs. I got bored earlier and decided to lap the stock cooler and put AS5 on as a TIM. Didn't do much in terms of idle or load temps. However, temps aren't bad to begin with, 44 idle 57 load @ 70% fan speed in ATI tool. I just don't want to buy the HR-03 GT that takes up 4 slots and doesn't exhaust the hot air. Anyone heard of any quick/easy mods for the stock cooler? Thanks.

Try getting a DuOrb as it doesn't take up 4 slots but still work pretty decent.

As for a quick/ease mod for stock cooler. Take off the cooler covering (leave fan and heatsink) and unplug the fan. Zip tie on an aftermarket fan and BAM cheap $5-10 cooling. It might not work very well, but it should lower temps a little.

Could try one of those fans that go into a pci slot. This one has some good reviews http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835888112

Which way does the fan blow the air?

Can you switch it?

How did you lape the stock cooler? You took the copper block out of the alumimum casing?

One mod I did was plug up the hole right below the fan. If you take off the cooler and look underneath the fan, you can see that there are several holes. I think these holes disrupt the airflow... I covered mine up with some electrical tape. Could get some good temps....
