I actually get higher temps by just letting the cube run....
__________________I didn't know the slider increased the load on the GPU. Are you sure that's what the slider is there for?

When running 3DMark06 I topped out at 92 degrees so you're fine.
100 degrees is pretty much the cut off point from what I hear but I usually like to make it 90 as a personal rule. Since I was there watching the test as the temperatures rose I let it go but was ready to cut it off as soon as I saw any artifacts.

Nah...I have an overlay on and it doesn't come up that far. I was shocked that it hit 92 before the fan kicked on and even then it wasn't at 100% but rather 49% up from 25%.
I'm still having a nasty little problem with my fan speed resetting all the time even though I have it set to 100% in RivaTuner. I've had the problem on the current version, 2.07 and 2.06. No idea what's up but I may just flash my BIOS and set it to 100% even though I've been an advocate for not doing it in case you fudge it and brick your card.
