Default These temps are not good.

I just replaced the stock thermal paste with some AS5, and my temps are pretty much the same...possibly worse. Maybe I did a terrible job applying it. I don't know. But I'm pretty pissed off with the stock cooler on this card...

Anyways, should these temps worry me? I want an aftermarket cooler, but I don't have the space for an HR-03 or the Accelero with fans. I don't trust anything from Thermaltake, so I'm not even going to consider buying a DuOrb.

Huh, I just noticed that. Odd, considering that when I checked, it was spinning...

But these temps would be absolutely amazing if the fan weren't spinning.

that temp is fine for a graphics card, remember that no game will heat the card up as much as atitool, also when doing a die you need the tiniest bit of AS5 so much less than a CPU

Cranked up the fan speed to 70% with Rivatuner. Huge improvement.

A lot of people manually set the fan speed to 100% (even at idle). It doesn't hurt the fan at all.

Atitool will hit a temp you can hit in a game. For me, I get higher temps in-game than with ATI Tool.

82C is perfectly fine.

That's very strange. Are you setting the artifact scanning in ATItool to maximum? (There's a little slider for that.)

My 8800GTX loads in ATItool at ~55C, while the highest I've seen in-game (like COD4 and BioShock, max detail) is ~45C.
