What is the cooling situation with your case fans? Internal/room ambient temp?
My room temp is like 25. My case side is off as well, haven't tried a box fan. My case fans,,well since my mobo is very limited on headers, i grabbed an adapter today and will add another intake. but as of now, i have 1 120mm exhaust, 1 80mm intake and i will be adding another 92mm intake (yes i know my airflow sucks).

EDIT: but it ran really hot even in my friends rig with really great airflow.

i dont think there are any mods you can do, what about an aftermarket cooler?
http://arcticcooling.com/vga2.php?idx=154
that thing looks like it could handle some serious overclocking.

DOnt worry to much about temps. These things can survive and run even past 100c

Again, I wouldnt be worrying if my card wasn't crashing at 75 degrees.

and @ Derek, i wanna try other things before resorting to buying an aftermarket cooler.

Edit: Just added the 92mm Fan to case for better intake. Temps on the GPU didn't really change.

How long since you applied to AS5? This thing takes a while to heal, sometimes even a few weeks; or maybe it wasn't applied correctly. Although it seems you know you know what you're doing =)

Maybe it's the heat of your CPU spreading to your GPU... Stock cooler, even on AS5, doesn't help keep your computer cool, especially with a CPU OCed to 3.0...

Yeah, I applied it a few days ago, and I know i still have to wait for it to cure. I will also replace my CPU HSF sometime soon, when I get the money for a TRUE 120.

I actually just did that to my card with a thermal take 80mm fan. I kept the original fan on just for kicks. And I also took off the as5 the previous owner used and put on some ocz freeze. I idle at 45 and load at around 57.
