I think since it has 2 PCBs (or so I think) an aftermarket Air cooler would be hard to design, especially with much cooling improvements over the stock.

Yeah, even though I got an aftermarket cooler for my 8800gts, right when it got here I reset the stock with AS5, before the aftermarket arrived.

Actually it wouldn't be the best of ideas to reseat the heatsink with AS5, reason being that most video cards have little pads of thermal paste and if replaced with AS5, it might not make proper contact with the heatsink.
