Default 8800 GT Accelero S1 installation & results! (With Pics!)

Hello everyone! I just received and installed the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev. 2 GPU cooler on my 8800GT SC. Anyone familiar with the 8800GT line of video cards knows that the stock cooling in most cases is just not efficient enough. I was experiencing some high temperatures with the stock cooling… high enough that I did not feel comfortable leaving the video card over clocked for extended periods of time. Anyway, here are the results:

Great results if I do say so myself.

Yeah, just letting the air flow in the case do the work.

Those temps would plummet if you added a fan too. But it doesn't look like you'll need it and silence is golden.

Nice then, and also just as an FYI there are some voltage regulators that aren't being covered on the back end of the card. Hard's review documented this and they had some extra ramsinks that they through on. I'm not sure if it's a big issue, but nvidia thought it was big enough to put thermal pads on it.

Yeah, I bought the Thermalright PVM Ramsink kit for the voltage regulators, but the sinks would not stick. I cleaned the voltage regulators the same way I cleaned the ram modules. The ram sinks stuck great, but the Thermalright's were a no go. I am looking at some more thermal tape, so that I can attach them in the near future.

Ordered same thing for my 8800 gt... Nice results, did you order the turbo modules also? I decided last second not too and to just strap some good old fans on instead.
