Even if I use a rehostat, I've still got to build a circuit - just putting a rheostat in there won't change it, as I've got to have two resistors in the circuit to make it work properly. Having one of them be a variable resistor (rheostat) wouldn't be bad, but I don't plan on needing to turn up the fan speed ever.
