Default Help with Arctic Cooling Accelero s1 rev2

Hey, I just got my Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev.2 in the mail today and i ****ed up...

I took my Ram heatsinks off for a moment because i had to clean off some more **** and now they won't stick good and just plop off after a little bit... I had them in my case cause i thought they were applied alright and then all of a sudden i hear "TINK TINK" as 1 by 1 they all fall off -_-

This is pissing me off cause it seems like im the only one stupid enough to **** up.

I was wondering if there is any house hold product i can apply them to card with? Or some other alternative... because I think I NEED those ram sinks right?

I am not using thermal paste on my ram sinks..

There is already pre applied thermal paste on the heatsink itself for the gpu of the card though.

I need to know if there is anything that would help me stick those Ram heatsinks to my card better...

Mine were right bastards to fit and did the same as yours. They're stuck now after pushing them on for maybe 3 or 4 minutes. Otherwise you might have to get a new set of ram sinks or some of the thermal sticky stuff, most probably off ebay for the thermal adhesive. Try pushing them on hard though it may work.
Cheers!

EDIT: Heard it may work better if you try to warm them up a little, hair drier or something similar makes the material a little stickier

I have 2 types of thermal paste... Will that help to keep those sinks on? They seem to come off damn easily....

No, thermal paste won't stick anything. What you want is more of the stuff thats already on the ramsinks. It sticks really well if your careful and get it on first time. Like I said above I'd try warming them a little and having another go at sticking them down.

i could be wrong, but it is my understanding that you should apply thermal paste to the ramsinks. That should definitely help it stick.

EDIT: err... maybe not?

God damit..

I can try pushing but i really rather know that they are on there as I take this Comp to lans occasionally and don't want to search my case for missing ram heatsinks....

How bad would this thing perform without the ram heatsinks?

I have solutions!

1. Artic Silver Thermal Epoxy

2. Small bit of Super glue on the corners of the mem chips (recommended).

Also, i've herd they don't stick well because you didn't clean your memory well, get some artic cleaner.
