So I'm working on my overclock and I notice that my fan speed keeps going down. I have it maxed in Rivatuner 2.6v I believe. If I move the slider and apply it the speed jumps and goes silent again.
Once in a while it will stick for a full ATI 10 min scan for me to test. Is there another program I should be using? Thanks

Hmmm I have figured out that every time the temp drops to 60C under load the fan speed drops...
All the programs I am using are set to manual fan speed.

The programs probably need to be updated, since the fan has PWM afaik.

So I downloaded Riva 2.09 and I am still having this problem. My fan speed is throttling to 35% at temps of 72c. If I then go in and force it back up to 100% the temps will drop below 60c. Once this happens it throttles back to 35% and the temps go right back up.
Any clue? Edit: Has anyone seen aftermarket cooling for these yet?

It's a bios/driver issue. The EVGA forums are riddled with questions concerning this. Once the temps reach 60c the fan speed resets to auto. The only fix for it as of right now is to keep your temps below that threshold or hardwire the fan to the mobo and control it there. I haven't seen any after market coolers for this card yet either. Nvidia is supposedly working on fixing the fan issues so we're stuck until they do.
