Default Bestest cooling for the evga 8800gt?

I still have some room to OC on the stock cooling, but i have the EVGA 8800GT and was wondering if its worth it getting after market cooling for the card? whats the highest you guys have done with this? I was thinking of getting: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...re=THERMALTAKE

On a side note, does anyone know when the fan's supposed to speed up with the Nvidia control panel? Id rather leave it on Automatic instead of 100% all the time, but it didn't seem like the fan was changing speed while I was playing Crysis

Lots of people swear by the duorb, I prefer the VF1000 better though.

here's a great review covering a LOT of heatsinks for the 8800GT:
http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/articl...50aHVzaWFzdA==

it also compares the noise level of each cooler too!

The very best would be to wc...but not worth it imo because of the awesome air-coolers for it.

What temps are you getting? I'm using RivaTuner to set the fan to run at 55% under heavy load and mine runs at 68C max after 4 hrs ATI tool testing. But if that doesnt work well enough for you, the Akimbo looks promising. It is $38 at eVGA and it only takes up 2 slots. its like taking an 8800GTS 512 cooler and throwing it on the 8800GT.
