I would go with the VF1000 that has the fan. What video card are you planning on running and are you using your rig as a htpc?

I'm probably going to go with Nvidia 8800 GTS 640mb card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130317 not sure what a htpc is, but I'm just going to use my rig for some gaming as well as web and graphics design projects. |

Okay because everywhere i check this does not say that the 9800 is supported. Before I order it I just want to be assured that It will work. Also, do you have any other suggestions of coolers that I should use or is this one pretty badd ass? My main concern is if it will work in the first place.

If you get the Zalman vf900 don't use the speed controller with it. I have read a lot of posts about many different issues that cause problems. I'm blaming it for frying my card somehow. Never had any issues when I had the fan hooked up to the MB but when I used the controller it reset my PCI bus speed in bios and kept rebooting my computer until I finally lost video completely. Other people have had issues where turning the fan speed dial has cause reboots.
