Default 8600GT hitting 71C in games

i have a 8600GT in a system and if i play a game on it like halo i will hit 71C after about 15 mins of play , is this a tad too warm? ( i think so ) i used riva tuner and set it to 100% fan , but it does not seem to help


any suggestions?

That isnt super high. But its high. Did you check and see if there was any dust or anything in the card? Maybe it needs a nice clean.

It is high, mine idles at 48 and loads at 60.

71 isnt out of spec but you may want to look as switching a fan around so see if you can get some fresher air that way.

Case cooling is the problem probably.

It should be between 55-65 at load and about 45-50 at idle.

Have you got it overclocked ?

no , its 100% stock , and fan speed at 100% , like i said i have only had it a few hrs ....

i have a small PCI exaust blower ill put underneath it , maybe that will help

u can always try to remount the HS.
