I recently purchased the accelero s1 to put it on my 8800gt. Using my ghetto cables ties i put a 120mm and a 80mm fan on the accelero. Using the gigabyte gamer hud to overclock (it can change voltage) i got the core to 800mhz and the shaders to 2000 mhz at 1.2 vcore. My max temp after running a looping multi texture 3dmark 06 test is 56c.

I am very pleased.

During the stress test i did not notice any and i have run a 15 minutes long test with ati tool. Yeah I know it should have gone longer but the only other time i had artifacts was with the memory. This cards memory is not good, at 850 it artifacts so now i have it at 825.

Whats the idle temp? I'm tryin to decide between Thermaltake duo orb and Accelero S1 for my 8800GT.

get the accelero s1
thermaltake duorb is a great vga cooler, but it usually cannot cope with the heat produced with the 8800 series. it seems it works MUCH better for the 8600 and below. the accelero looks like you'll have more room to overclock because of the larger heatsink, and you could easily wire tie a 120mm fan to it.

both are good choices though
