Default 8800 GTX question

Hey guys and gurlz. I plan on getting an 8800 GTX to replace my dead 8800 GT.

I have all the heatsinks for the voltage regulators and enough ramsinks for the ram, but I have one quesiton. What is needed to cool the chip circled below. Can I get away with using a ramsink on it, or do I need something bigger?

A ramsink should be fine.

Cool, thank you. I've got about half a million zalman ramsinks lying around.

BTW: Odd question, but do you play css?

r u ditching the stock cooler? i think ram heatsink would suffice if your fan is powerful and directs good amount of airflow to its surroundings

I was askin because we have very similar rigs. I was gonna ask you to run some benchies. I'm curious to see how much I'll gain going from a 8800 GT to a GTX.

Oh, lol.

It won't be a whole lot better, but then again, I haven't seen much in the way of CSS benchmarks.
