Well one of the reviews said it worked on his 8600GT, just read around.
Another one with a 8600GTS.

Quote:
Pros: provides great cooling . i used it on a pny 8600GT . from 54c to 40c at idle .

Cons: came misassembled from factory . reassembled it right and voila ! no probs .

Other Thoughts: really surprised me . is very quiet, even on performance mode .

Pros: It works great, I have it on my XFX 8600 GTS, Stock fan ran 80 c under load and with the Zalman it now runs 60 .I just ordered another for my XFX 8800 Gt.

Cons: None Very simple Install

Other Thoughts: Make sure to use artec silver for some extra cooling.

Pros: Got this for my overclocked (649/837) PNY 8600GT. Didn't want to spend a lot for a cheap vid card. Perfect fit. Took it from 44C idle/ 78C load to 32C idle and 54C load, and the A$5 hasn't even had a chance to set up yet! Easy to install (see vid clip on Zalman website). At this price, you can't go wrong!

Cons: Takes up an adjacent PCI slot? Any aftermarket cooler will do that!

Other Thoughts: If your temps are getting too high for you comfort, try this cooler! Zalman has a new fan (no pun intended)!
Quote:
Pros: The fan fit on my PNY 8600GT. I have it overclocked from 540/700 all the way up to 630/910 and the fan brought my GPU from a blistering 72/C on full load to a content 50/C on full load. 30/C on idle now. Its awesome. The fan is so effective I can almost push my video card to 8600GTS speeds. (680/1000)

Cons: The ramsinks are slippery, they need to be secured on with more than just what they gave you. There is pseudo-adhesive that becomes useless at the touch of a normal finger. I wouldn't recommend touching the ramsinks after putting them on. Secure them, forget about them, never touch them again. The Bracket for the fan didn't totally fit the card, by which I mean that there are 2 different holes-per-corner and the fit wasn't symmetrical with the holes. However, the fit was very tight, firm, and most importantly, flat. I used arctic silver instead of their compound (never use stock compound) and its a great setup. Dont expect to use the power plug on your card either, it plugs into the standard 3-pin fan control on your motherboard. Make sure you have one available otherwise, fan speed control will not be possible because you will be forced to use a 4-pin (2 pins active) MOLEX adapter (eww).

Other Thoughts: The Ramsinks kinda sucked installing, there are a lot of small parts so be gentle and Read the manual so you don't screw it up. Install ramsinks first and never touch them again. NEVER BUY A PNY AND EXPECT TO USE THE STOCK COOLER. Overall, this fan is awesome and it adds with the little blue LED on my logisys acrylic case. (a light show case).
There's many more.
