Default Any way to use my old GPU heatsink as my 8600's top RAM sink?

Any way to use my old GPU heatsink as my 8600's top RAM sink? Cheap way, but if it's possible, someone give me some hints or tips, otherwise i am gonna definitely go for the copper zalman since it comes with ramsinks.

My old x550's heatsink pic: attached

Back of my 8600 GTS (too lazy to take my own pic, this one is better from NE anyway.):

If it covers all of the IC's and is attached securely I don't see why you couldn't although I'd probably just go with some sort of fan bracket and slap a 90 or 120mm fan on the back instead. You'd either need zip ties (which I don't think will give a tight fit) or you'll need to modify the existing mounting setup by using longer screws to go through both heatsinks and that's even if the holes are lined up.

It sounds like a headache so again my suggestion would be to rig up a fan bracket.

Well i got a 120 mm thermaltake 78 CFM 28dB fan, with some dirt on it, so i will see what a fan bracket will do!

Will passive cooling with a fan be enough? I guess i will find a fan bracket along with the zalman copper heatsink.

I got an idea, i will cut holes somewhere and zip ties and stuff...
