Finally acquired enough money to order a duorb and some TX-2. Here are some results
on my Evga 8800GS! I will be putting it under load with ATITool's artifiact testing for 10 minutes along with GPUF@H at the same time. Fan at 100% for all tests. Stock Cooler (Ambients 39*C) Stock Clocks Idle: 46*C Load: 57*C Overclocked to 700/1750/1000 (Ambients 38*C) Idle: 45*C Load: 61*C Thermaltake DuOrb (Ambients 38*C) Stock Clocks Idle: 41*C Load: 48*C Overclocked to 700/1750/1000 (Ambients 38*C) Idle: 42*C Load: 50*C Conclusion: This is my first "hardware mod-sorta" ordeal, and WOW, I'm impressed! I'm still pretty new to computers, and have yet to build my first rig, but I'm pretty sure I'll be using this DuOrb on my new GPU if its compatible! Overall, I think this cooler is great and def worth the money. One thing I didn't like was installation. Talk about a PITA. I followed the directions which told me to use certain screws, but it certainly didn't work. I had to use the other screws which worked fine on my G92. I look at my fingers and they are red from trying all the screw configurations >.> |

I don't care what anybody says. That cooling solution is money at night or in the dark.
Well done.

I think I might be losing it but what does that mean exactly? Is money at night or in the dark?

Or maybe he just meant the DuOrb looks really cool in the dark.

lol yeah well it's definitely bright enough. Try taking on two of those bad boys and 12 fans with LEDS. My case actually brightens up my entire room. But I'm glad he's happy with his DuOrb because I love mine.

That's odd... My friends 8800GS I did a slightly better overclock (higher core, same mem) and it ran almost the same temps on the stock cooler. If I remember correctly I had the fan on 50% and it loaded at 63c.
Still, those load temp drops are very nice with the DuOrb.
