Default New Fan not working on GTS8800 640

Hi,

since somehow last week my gpu stock fan died/stopped working I ordered me an Accelero xtreme 8800 - stupid g80 chip . Well, it arrived today and installation went smooth. The problem is, that the 3 fans arent spinning as well

Is it possible that the part on my gfx which is supposed to supply power to the fan is borked? I tried the last hour to find any information on that tiny little 4 pin fan connector used on the 8800gts/640 but no luck. Thought id find some adapter/homemade solution to externally supply power to the 3 fans but i cant even find the specifics on that connector.

any thoughts before I order a HR-03 with 120mm fan?

ta

oh and giving a new windows install a try, already tried different gforce drivers and various tweak progs like rivatuner/ntune, but still no luck

Due to the default voltage regulation on the fan, a low RPM value for the fan was created by the BIOS so as to prevent noise.

Accelero Xtreme is using 3 ultra quiet PWM fans which allow optimal air flow rate but operate at an extremely low noise level. To achieve the best result, it is recommended to use RivaTuner for controlling the fan speed.

Hope this helps.

EDIT: Sorry, didnt not notice you had already tried RivaTuner... must be time for bed

It could be the header that is broken then - Is it pluged in properly?. Might be worth RMA'ing it. You could rig something up to the normal fan headers but it would run at 100%. Only other thing would be to buy something that you can mount normal fans on.

EDIT: see above if you don't mind risking a windows boot without fans.
