The damn cards are just HUGE!! there gunna restrict airflow no matter what size case you got anyways - to some degree at least.. Nemes

at first, i would run it at 40% fan, and it would hit 105c frequently during crysis or furmark. Now ive fixed my airflow issues, and run it at 100% fan. with a pretty huge oc (769 core/ 1538 shader / 2562 memory) it only hits 60c with 10 mins of furmark. it seems to be working fine, but oddly enough today the fan dropped to 55% for no reason, and it got to 135c!!! is that for real? i feel like thats got to be an error, since i read that these cards shut off at 115c. but there was no crash or error or anything at all. does this make sense?

Well I guess I didn't take into account the real estate that these cards would take up in my case. Ive got a 110 CFM fan intaking unto card #1 and it idles at 62 degrees with the fan at 40% GPU #2 idles at 58 degrees. Is it time to give up on this case and go back to my Cosmos S ?

with the gt200 cores you HAVE to have proper airflow in the case. The hot air does blow out the back but if you have your back case facing a wall your card WILL get hot. I dropped my 280 temps about 15c by pulling the case away from the wall, taking off the side panel and running a fan from the back/bottom of the case blowing the hot air up into the room.
