LOL same card as me and I was shaking when I installed it lol.

Mines only 4 days old to me I had a good look round mine with shaky fingers and I couldnt see a way into it anywhere.

The stock cooler that covers it is very ample though in my mind - miens running really cool

Still not taken mine to bits yet, but will as soon as the newness has worn off Reason being is that I've already scraped enough thermal compond from around the accessible bit of the GPU than is needed for 3x CPU's. They must really bung plenty of the stuff on

And have u seen any improvement in temperatures? I am thinking of maybe reapplying the themral paste on mine. Even though I really happy about my temps. I keep my fan at 70% and with the overclock im using i idle at 41 and during crysis i dont go over 72. With my case open i even go below 40 during idle and never over 70 in game.

I've actually not bothered taking it to bits for the moment mate because after I bought my new Antec 1200 the GPU temps dropped around 10*C (Around 72*C loaded.) I very rarely hear the GPU fan spool up above 25% now. If your temps are at 70 -80*C fully loaded I wouldn't bother tacking the card to bits because after talking with a technician regarding temps on the 260/280's.. Safe temps are regarded as being under 100*C and only at higher temps than that might the card start to show any difficulties. However if my temps were anywhere near 100*C high I'd have to do something.

Nice post Jock

I wouldn't try that myself being a complete noob with PC's, my mate at work built mine for me so I'd get him to have a go at that. I'm contemplating an Antec 1200 case next with water cooling, so that would be a good product for me to have.
