Yeah. I used AS5 and both of my GT's and my 4870x2. All I did was apply a small amount of it then after that I spread the AS5 around with a credit card until I had a very thin layer covering the cards GPU.

Enjoy them! They can be a bit loud so I hope you don't mind the extra noise! I know I enjoyed my time with my 8800GT's. Be sure not to tighten the screws/bolts/whatever too tight. I had one break on me, but luckily it held on just fine with great temps.
