The Thermalright HR-03 GT is so huge, and plus you need to run a fan directly at it otherwise it will be as hot as the stock cooler. Since you have a 8800GT, you won't have many choices of those big cool looking VGA coolers like those for the 8800Ultra, 8800GTX, or the 9800.
I have the Duo Orb and my card is always at 40C idle (core) and 47C at max load. Only $43 including shipping on new egg, can't beat it. |

Lol, I know this sounds redundant but go with the duorb for 8800gt's, they are simply made for that card.
Both of mine are at 710mhz core clock 24/7. They can go a tad higher but i like even numbers :P Also, if the memory is at 1000 or higher then it will freeze.

I have the Duo Orb with the 8800GT. I OC it to 750/1850/951. I ran the ATITool for 6 hours and my card didn't die so I suppose my card passed the torture test.
The ATITool couldn't find max core and max temp for the 8800GT (not compatible even with the latest beta) but it did put 100% load on my video card for 6 hours so that counts. I would use those compound that you use to take paint off to take off the grease. Make sure you don't scratch the surface though. |

I never know where exactly is the Vram that they talk about in the installation instruction. Apparently the instruction to install the Duo Orb is for the GTX in general, not GT. IF someone can post a picture for me, I'll really appreciate.
