Default Help me cool my 9800GTX..

Title says it. I have 2 options here..
1. Put it on water.
2. Get a big heatsink for it.

Budget is an issue, so the cheaper the better. But I'm not gonna buy any crap parts either.. know what I mean?

Thanks in advance.

You could use riva tuner to jack up the stock cooler to 100% or around there (depending on noise tolerances )

If not then for about $60 you could get a decent aftermarket air cooler.
since you already have water; take into consideration how long you'll have the card and if youll be keeping it for a while, get a water block for it. (thatll keep everything quiet.)

if you already have sufficient water cooling, you could always add the GPU to your loop.

might need to grab another rad.

i use an accelero s1 rev2 on mine with two 120mm fans and it never goes over 60c load.
it hit 58c middle of the summer, right now its folding at 50c

I would agree with smoke12291 for an Accelero S1 rev2. It's great, you could choose your fans, cools well, and is rather cheap. As for adding your GPU to your water cooling loop, I wouldn't suggest it. Your temperatures for your CPU would rise if you don't get another rad, more tubing in the loop, and the waterblock and RAM sinks are more expensive than good air cooling. Yeah I've seen those. In fact, I bought the other version by mistake once.. But it fit on my 9600GT in the other tower, so no complaints.. lol

I've found a couple of options. I just can't decide which way is the best way to go. I don't want to get a block and fine out my pump is lacking. I think my Rad can handle it, my Quad and NB are both on the loop, and temps hardly ever break 50c load.

Basically, I've narrowed it down to this:

http://jab-tech.com/Scythe-MUSASHI-T...r-pr-4300.html

or

http://jab-tech.com/Danger-Den-Low-P...U-pr-3610.html
http://jab-tech.com/Enzotech-Forged-...1-pr-3724.html

or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233013

What do you guys think?

Thanks for the help so far.

well, the xiggy is cheap, but the waterblock will obviously beat the other two...It just depends on budget

Well the water block is the max really. And really I think I need a mosfet block too, and that's like another $17.
Soo..
I think I'm gonna get the Xigmatek.

I have the Maze5 like you have listed and it works extremely well on the GPU. Temps don't go much over 40C under load. The problem is it doesn't cool any of the ram chips on your card. You'll need heatsinks on the others with really good air flow over them. Even then you don't get as good of cooling on those chips as you would if you left it stock. If I ever buy another water block for a video card, it will be a full cover block for all the chips. Just my two cents worth.

Hmm..Point made..
I had some Heatsinks added in,but that cover just the memory. I'm wondering about the mosfet Heatsink. Is it necessary? Will it hurt the card to run without it for a couple of weeks?
