Got two 8800 GT on SLI - stock cooler. I overclocked to 650 core clock and 1000 memory. Stock cooler could not take the mercury rise. Crysis locked up after half hour. I backed the overclocking down to stock (600, 900) and everything is hunky dorry. Fans are running at 70 % at stock setting and at 85 % at overclock setting.
__________________I am thinking I need to get some good coolers for the cards and try my overclocking again. I am thinking about either of these: Thermalright t-rad2 Thermalright V2 Which one will be better for overclocking purposes? I am leaning more towards V2 with 80 X 15mm fan due to cheaper cost....

I would go with the T-Rad 2 with 2 92mm Scythe fans. That will cool better.
You could also use these Sunon fans, which push more air, but are also louder.

What about using the 120 X 20 fan for the t-rad2? I know there is an issue if you use a 25mm thick fan. Will the SLI bridge be hindered in anyway?
__________________I think I have more than 55mm clearance between the first and second card. So, two 92 X 25 will work great. But between the second card and bottom of the case, I may barely have two inches of clearance and may run into issues going with a 25mm thick fan. I will take some measurements tonight.

Going with two 92x25 thick fans will be a good bit better than a single 120x20mm fan.
The 92x25 fans have a higher static pressure and combined will push a lot more CFM than the single 120x20 fan.

Or for best performance you could order 2 of the 92x38mm thickness fans might be a overkill for just a GFX.. Heres the link anyways.. and yeah it will fit just have to mount them..
