Nevermind I read it as GTS 512. The IHS should protect against AS5

Just FYI Casper,
Download EVGA Precision off of this site: http://www.evga.com/PRecision/

It's good to control the fan and good for OC'ing. Also, it has a pretty cool FPS utility for Benchmarking.
AS5 does have like a 200 hr break in period.
Alot of the 8800GTS's run 60c idle and as high 75 loaded.
Just don't go over 80c and you should be fine.

Hope this helps you.

Ok i am now having a problem where the pc is turning off during 3dmark06, only thing i can think of is that my 450watt Coolmax PS is the problem. Im running 2 sata drives, 1 ide HD, 1 ide dvd , 1 sata Blu-ray, the 8800gts and 3 case dans, think that is pushing it too much?? lol

-You can run Precision while you're running 3dMark so that you can keep a close eye on your GPU temp.
-What does your temps look like?
-Are you OC'ed when you run the benchmark?

Ok. this 'burn in' period for the AS5 is pretty much negligible. Messing around with Rivatuner (or whatever OCing program/fan speed program you choose) will do you more good.

My 8800GTS idles at around 50C (with ambient temperatures around 22C) and it loads (like in CoD4) around 70C. I took off the heatsink and replaced it with some good ol' MX-2.
