Default 8800gt Stock Fan Problem

Hey Guys, I have a problem with the fan of 8800gt, when i power on my pc it making some noisy and pesky sounds, and after when in windows it stops, and suddenly it does the same.I think its dust and its really difficult to open the fan, should i get another cooler?

it is perfectly normal for the fan to run at 100% during boot up and then throttle down to the regular setting. but if its revving back up in windows its either over heating and auto adjusting the fan and speeding it up or you have it set high using a program like rivatuner. You can aslo buy a $5 can of compressed air and blow it out the best you can and see if that helps. if none of those are causing the problem then go ahead and grab a new cooler.

Just blast it out with canned air, or use a air compressor.

Use GPU-Z or rivatuner, check the fanspeed.

Zalman FC-ZV9 is enough for a 8800GT.
