Default Help with Accelero S1 on 8800gt

Hey guys, ive had my Accelero for a while now, and ive not had any cooling on the VR chips. Ive decided if the stock cooler was cooling it and it make the card overheat, how bad is it gonna be without anything on them. So I bought a Swiftech Mosfet heatsink for the 8800gt/gts.

I have a problem though, the swiftech heatsink is a bit too tall and I cant get the accelero to sit on the GPU core properly. Is there any way that I can make more space between the accelero and the card so I can fit it in or is there anyway I can modify the Accelero so that the mosfet heatsink fits ? The fins of the accelero dont fit between the fins of the mosfet heatsink.

Thanks

that's what i did with mine.

the heatsink for the voltage regulators that came with the S1 was straight, and
the VR's on my 9800gtx is offset. Used a dremel to 'trim' them and it works perfectly.

EDIT:
when i said trim, i didn't mean to trim the edges. i cut the heatsink into two pieces so it would fit.

OK here are some images. Please excuse the terrible quality, i used my phone. =[

(i put it on top to show the size difference)

Basically, when i put the Accelero back on with the Swiftech on, the accelero only just misses the core, theres about a millimeter between the core and the accelero. And the mosfet is made of anodized aluminum, so could i file it down?

Thanks
