__________________Only $5 after rebate. My 8800GT reaches 84-86C load right now, and it's pretty loud. It has the 1st rev EVGA stock cooler (smaller fan) and the updated fanspeed BIOS.

No it wouldnt IMO, plus i dont think it says its even compatible with an 8800GT

The Xigma should do pretty well, they make Excellent Coolers. Though you may want to wait till someone else answers.
 Now that im not making any sense......

Sorry for the double post, Now i have my thought together.
 Yes, the Xigma looks like a good cooler, and Xigmatek makes very good products for the money, but id wait and see if you get any suggestions in this thread before jumping on something...

The closest thing in price I could find is this Zalman.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118116
__________________Mostly aluminum fins, no heatpipes. Both of them are sold out right now so I can't jump on anything.

Dont think the Zalman would perform too well, those were Great coolers in the X800-X850 days though

I think that's the Battleaxe, yeah.

Look for a used Zalman VF900. I had one on mine and works great on an 8800GT.
