Default I think this might be a wee bit too hot...

I just DLed Rivatuner and checked gpu temp....
both are asus 8800gs's at stock on full load

....72.3C on first, 93C on second...
that seems kinda high...
My 9600gt ran at 62C on load and it was OCed to 790/1910/1100 and didn't even have ramsinks on it like the 8800s do

Low 90's is a bit high, but not that bad. You could always drill some holes in the bottom of the case and add some higher feet to add airflow to the lower card. (I am assuming that is the hot one)

edit: Also, I would remove the HS and change the TIM to something better than stock. they tend to use too much as well.

That's what I'm looking at trying to do right now, except the only case feet I can find are max 1" tall. I think there's some way to put in a type of recessed bottom so I could fit some fans down there. Does that make any sense?

Similar to what this guy did
http://www.overclock.net/case-mod-wo...ml#post4802200

not a radiator, sbut something that would make the fans flush against the bottom of the case.

You don't need to use case feet. Casters or knobs for kitchen drawers work too. You can also find much taller rubber feet that are designed for other applications. If it were me, I would just raise it up and drill some holes. I think that would make a huge difference. the cooler seems to be working fine on the other card, it is just that the bottom one is starving.

thanks dralb

I'd like to put some fans down there anyways though, they can't hurt and they'll help reduce ambient temps too.
I was looking around for case feet and found these. They're the best I can find both height and aesthetic-wise.
