Default GPU Fan?

Hey, I'm installing a VD964 on my 9800GT, and I have a few questions...
1) Do the RAM heatsinks that come with the VD964 work with the 9800GT? If so, can anyone post a picture on how they're supposed to be installed?
2) The fans are 3 pin, but when I look on the PCB the fan connector is some type of 4 pin connector, and I can't find a connection for the GPU fan on my mobo, does anyone know if I need an adapter or something?
3) What's the best way to apply TIM on this?

1) I think you just stick them onto the RAM chips after you clean the original paste/adhesive off the chips.
2) 3 pins just means it'll run at 100% at all the time, they're compatible.

Erm, I meant how was I supposed to place the RAM chips? Anyways, no worries, I improvised and all the RAM chips are covered.
Also, the 4pin connector doesn't fit with the 3 pin fan connection. I ended up sticking the fans on this connection on my mobo that said PWN_FAN and it works fine. Does anyone how I can control the fans speeds though?

What do you mean by placing the ramsinks? They should be about the same size and shape, then just stick them on.

They don't fit? Probably because the PCB uses a special connector, but if the mobo one works then that's fine. I don't know if you can control the fan with a 3-pin.

I don't think you can control the fan through without a fan controller. The fan will spin according the the tempurature of the inside of your case if you connect it to the PWN_FAN connection.

SpeedFan should be able to control it since you connected to the MB

K, thanks.
The RAM sinks were too big at certain points, I ended up leaving a group of chips that were covered by the stock cooler bare since I couldn't reach it with the big RAM sink, and I didn't have enough small RAM sinks.
Anyways, I'm pleased with the results, thanks.
