Default Fan on the Back of the PCB Test

I was curious to see if a fan on the back of the pcb would help temps at all. I noticed that with my stock cooler, the heatsink would be very cool to the touch even during load while the back of the pcb became very hot. I bent a coat hanger to hold the fan on and wrapped it with electrical tape to make sure it wouldn't short anything.

Here it is attached to my 9600gso.

As for the results; First of all I have to say it would have probably worked better if my tuniq tower wasn't in the way of the fan's intake. I noticed the temps would rise slower and top out about 2-3C less than without the fan. I don't have any graphs to show it scientifically. Anyway, bending the coat hanger wasn't too bad using just needlenose pliers and my hands, so it was a relatively easy project.

Wow, that's a pretty neat thing. I wonder if I can use something like that
I'm actually a bit weary with the electrical tape, because with heat, it actually makes the sticky part melt and then the tap itself will get flimsy. I know because I taped something with that and had it near a heater. It was worse than me swimming in a bowl of syrup. I couldn't wash it off my hand with soup. Had to spray it with WD40 and stunk for a while..
