Hi guys,
__________________I am running evga 8600gt ddr2 1 gb using stock cooling. the problem is, the fan is too small(40mm). the off-load temp is 53c, and onload in around 75c. So to keep it cool, i mean can a extra case fan help, or it is due to dryness of thermal paste, or anything else. At this moment, i have 3 case fans Exhaust: 1 120mm back fan(beside cpu/psu), 1 80mm side fan(beside gpu) Intake: 1 120mm front case fan Thanks in advance Regards Debojit

Its still under maximum temps.
You could reseat the stock heatsink with some quality thermalpaste or an aftermarket cooler.

75c is not a problem for that card. If you do want cooler temps, your best bet would be an aftermarket cooler.

It means using another cooler instead of the reference design cooler.

Trust me, you don't need an aftermarket cooler for a 8600gt. One, its not cost-effective to buy a $25 cooler for a card that's worth about as much. Two, the fan control of your card should keep it under any dangerous temperatures. A gpu can take temps much higher than a CPU.
