Use EVGA Precision or RivaTuner and crank up the fan speed. I suggest you don't open the cooler, as you will void your warranty with MSI.

The Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev2 or the Thermaltake DuOrb would both be great choices

If it ran cooler before the problem is probably dust in the heatsink or maybe a wire blocking the fan from spinning at full speed. Try blow some compressed air into the fan/heatsink.

+1 get EVGA precision tool and crank the fan speed up to ~50-60%. Quote:
I think the max temp for those cards ~85*C. If you dont get your temps down you could permanently damage your card. Good luck

__________________i have the factory overclocked version from MSI so the heat sink is fairly good... the temps hav dropped from 95 to 89(crysis, very high) ....which i don't think is good for more than ten minutes... the thermal paste looked blotchy...what can i do bout that?

How to you know the paste is blotchy? Because if you opened it you should have replaced it since using the same thermal paste will trap air bubbles and will be uneven with the surfaces causing even higher temperatures.
