Just letting you know their is another option.

I think that AC will put out a Rev. 1/b or 2 or whatever.

The seller has confirmed that the Musashi does not fit on a 280 or any other 200 series card. They just made an error in the description.

Hi Laurie. In regards to your last post in my thread. If warranty is no issue for you, then just go for the solution mentioned in my thread. By that I mean the accelero xtreme with stock vrm sink and stock backplate. Looks like a fine solution, even if I did it otherwise. This way you can use screws for most parts.

Combining this with fastening the two lower ram heatsinks properly somehow, the cooler will do a great job at cooling your 280. I bet most coolers that is possible to use on this card right now require extra sinks here and there for cooling anyhow.

Of course you can wait and hope for a newer revision, as that is a possibility, but I sent arctic cooling a mail about the shortcomings some weeks ago though and still havent got an answer.

Just wanted to give my heads up.

I think you are right mate.
Im not worried about doing the mod just about resale value. Though I guess as it makes the card perform better it may well be a good idea all round.
I will let you know how I get on if I do go for the mod.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

No problem buddy. I'll be glad to hear from you, if you decide to go through with it. Be sure to do a before/after temp check. Use online gpu-z snaps. I could use that in the thread.

Love the monitor part in your sig btw. LG FLAT RON
