Default Scythe Musashi VGA Cooler

Has anyone got an opinion on this?
Says it is 280 compatible.

I have no experience with this, although I have seen a few members using this cooler.

Looks like it will be a good one, considering the stock cooler is not that good.

For some reason the official site does not list the 280 as a compatible card.
Could anyone confirm whether or not it fits?
They are a good make so I would expect it to perform pretty well.

I think it would be in your best interests to contact the company:

I can't say for the fitting to a 280 but as for it's performance, my son uses one on his 4870 1gb and it's amazing how much it drops the temps! I'm guessing that it's like a 15-20*c drop PLUS it's TONS quieter than the oem fan. If it fits, it should help temps a lot. There is one caveat though, you'll lose the benefit of the shroud to duct the heat outside your case.

the reviews I've seen are all pretty positive. The only issue was with 48XX series ati cards where the cooler rotated slightly on the card. Cooling was still effective though

Another suggestion might be the coolink gfx chilla. Very similar design to the musashi, except it doesn't use the odd sized fans, you can replace them with whatever 80mms you want pretty easily

And this one will fit a 280? The company's page seems to be down.
Thank you

hmmm looking a little farther into it, they say it's made for x1900 atis and 8800 series nvidias tops... But I'm pretty sure I've seen it installed on higher up radeons. Don't know about green side though. Guess I should've looked into it a little more before posting heh.

Not at all.
Its good to look at all the options.
From what I can see the model you mentioned would not fit. However they were supposed to be making a 'big' version. I can find it in the news section of a lot of sites last year but no retail product information.
I will continue to search

The Cooler is a very good GPU cooler.

The Duo Orb, BattleAxe, Musashi, & GTX280 Xtreme are the best out their at the moment.

Only the GTX280 Xtreme fits a GTX2xx card. IT should be on store shelves soon as well. End of the month is what Arctic Cooling says.

I'm not sure if the Musashi fits the GTX280 though.
