Default evga 9800 GT Temps

hi all, i use evga precision and when im running a game (1680 x 1050) max settings and everything
my temps creep up from 50-60c sometimes a little more den 60 like 63. I never went over that, get out the game before..
well i bought compressed air today and tried getting all the dust out.
when its idle (left the comp on for 1 day its 49c).
when im playing a game its from 50-60c
what is the right temperature u guys think?
what temp will hurt my card?

Those temps are fine. Most GPU's should be able to handle around 80C as a max temp.

that's fairly good temps.. similar as mine... my 9800GT idles at 49-52 and runs at 58-63 depending on the game being run and also both temps depending on my ambient temps. aslong as it doesnt go above 90c or was it 105c? i forgot which of the two.

eVGA's cards are supposed to be able to take up to 100C but i try and stay below 70C, if your overclocking your card the lower temps you have, the more stable your overclock is going to be. In my experience, if you have the single slot 9800GT and you have good airflow in your case you can try taking off the shroud and gaming to see what your temps become. If your temps rise put the shroud back on. Hope this helped. *JaKe*

THanks it does! i do that, took my side of the case off..
but i also have a question
wen im gaming i put my fan to 100%.
and i see it on my screen while im gaming, when it goes to 57c's it goes up to 75% and dats max. today was actually the first time i seen it stay 100% for like good twenty minutes and kept my temp to 57 at everyhting max when its suppose to be 60's. is there anything i can do to make it stay 100% whole time? it wont go anymore up then 75% and it just creeps down back to 50. den back to 75
