All those replies are not helping at all - except the "turn fan speed down".
Use Rivetuner for that or go and buy that Accelero Xtreme 280. I bought that - mainly because I wanted a higher overclock which I got running 750/1600/1430 all day. But what really surprized me was that at 100% fan speed with Accelero Xtreme 280, I was not able to hear anything but a very low buzz sound coming from the card. I really do not think you need to worry about ANY temperatures, but if you do just install some mosfets onto the VRM´s - it takes like 5 min extra time and is not expensive at all. I installed some Enzotech MOS-C1 - a bit of a overkill and they actually needed a bit of cutting, because they are too high, but get anything that is not more than about 8-10 mm in height. I know the Accelero is expensive and that it is a bit of work to install, but you sure will never regret when installed and fired up. This is a picture I saved when I looked around for help on my install, and it shows what you should look at if you want it to be as cool as possible. An awesome picture - but I can not remember if the guy´s name is onboard or what - sry about that and not for paying more attention to the owners name (not sure if he is on this forum even) - hope he is ok with my reposting his picture though If you buy Enzotech you can use what is left of the mosfets after cooling the 6 VRM´s to cool some of those highlighted in red. I got a better (IMO) fix.
Flash it with a custom bios, in which you lower the voltage (since you said you don’t oc it), and do a custom fan profile like this, it make the fan nonintrusive. ![]() ![]() Just make sure you don’t lower your voltage to much, see what other ppl use, and test it for stability in windows with the evga voltage tunner.
