80 is sort of the top end of acceptable. You either have an insane OC or poor airflow or it is really warm in the room your PC is in as I don't hit 70 in anything but Crysis. Why don't you raise the fan speed?

80C is fine, my cards hit that on air cooling real fast, I have heard some of these newer cards can withstand 100șC

hah you're complaining about 80C?? I have the 8600MGT with DDR3 ram in my laptop, and 85C-90C is normal for it, heck it gets to 100C if I don't dust the case out and it's still within specs...

80C load for an upper-mid range moble GPU is pretty good actually.

Lol, my clock is normal, I have it at 543/1086/481 with EVGA Precision, and when I surf the web and do normal stuff with windows it's usually 55-60C, I have a external usb fan under my computer so it helps cooling, well, it doesn't really matter, because when I play newer 3d games like world in conflict, it gets up to 80 C. And I cant turn the fan up, it's locked. I guess 80C is okay then, but I shouldn't go over that right?
