Default 20min of Furmark = Tmax 95°C

I need a better cooling solution.

I threw some Papst 80mm colers ontop of the cards, but these temperatures at stock speeds are inacceptable IMO, even with a room temp of 26-27°C (summer time, duh).

Now the question: How can I keep things cool? I want to OC hard, but with these conditions I see my chances fading away...

Here's my current cooling setup:

And here's my 20min Furmark run. 800x600 windowed with 16x MSAA

You could put a fan infront of the cards you could also replace the TIM on the cards.

Note also that Furmark pushes cards harder than anything else ever will. Now 95* is still way too hot. I would recommend trying to get some better airflow in the case and adding a fan to push onto the card. Replacing the TIM on the card cant hurt either if you know what youre doing.

I replaced the TIM the first thing when taking the cards out of their boxes.

I think I will take the UK3000 out of the styrofoam "shroud" and put it infront of the cards as you requested. The pushing fan on the TRUE is getting the same air temp anyway...

I'll report back in here after another 20min run, thanks guys

I have a 30g tube of MX-2 that I am using.

Yes the fans are set to constantly run at 100% since they're still quieter than the four UK3000's

I'm only four minutes into the test (it's at 1024 windowed BTW, the first one too) and GPU1 is at 85°C. I'm pretty sure I was over 90 at this time on the first run. But it's still too high

Tmax 85°C, but that was a peak. It's running at 83°C Tmax. 16min in.

I am more relaxed

I guess before I start OC'ing I will have to invest into an aftermarket cooling system. What is the recommendation for 275's? Note that the middle x16 slot has my soudcard inserted, so I am limited to coolers that don't take up two slots.

EDIT: 20min passed:

A 10°C decrease from simply repositioning a fan. Impressive

For one of them I would recommend this:
http://www.amazon.com/Arctic-Cooling.../dp/B001QFE9U0

That's just so you can see the product, if you look around it's easily aslow as 50 bucks new.

My guess is when you replaced the TIM, you didn't do a good job.
