I was worried about my card idling at like 61c and i talked to the xfx people and they said this "Those temperatures are normal. We expect the cards to idle between 55-65C (Win XP desktop/Surfing the web) and 75-88C under load ( Vista desktop/3D gaming). " so i just wanted to let you guys know you shouldnt worry about it. though i turned up my fan on my card a bit. its running a 54c right now.

I usually keep my cards at 100% and you just get used to the noise after awhile. Your card also run cooler.

My 9800GT temp is 57 degrees on idle state.
89 degrees after 1 min in Furmark.

It's normal, your card won't explode or fry eggs.
![]() EDIT: Oh, I didn't notice you were trying to warn us about it. Never mind, stating the obvious.
