Aftermarket aircooling options for GTX260? - Overclock.net

I'm looking into getting some aftermarker aircooling for my XFX GTX260 but all I see around is the Accelero XTreme gtx280 cooler. Are there other options out there or is this really it?

I am too interested, but the only other options are a waterblock and Thermalright's HR-03 GTX.... http://www.frozencpu.com/products/82...l?tl=g40c21s66

Both are too expensive for my likings.

Thanks for the VRM info. I know the Accelero has some bad VRM stuff.

You think one of the D-Tek Unisinks would work with the HR-03 or the Accelero? I'm not against using a WB for the VRM's and an aircooler. It's still cheaper than a full WC system,lol

60$ that's a bit expensive.. but it seems very good. if it's gonna serve your purpose go for it.

i don't know if that D-tek will work as you have a 55nm yes? if so that won't work.

you could ask iandh and see what he can whip up and with that, he could sell it to those who do opt for aftermarket cooling like the TR HR03.

though i guess you could attempt to mod that d-tek unisink too.

EDIT: you could also give enzotech mosfet coolers a try?

oh and p-pcs has the HR03GTX for $55 so that would save you a bit of money.

Mine is 55nm. I wasn't sure what unisinks would fit, or if there was even a difference in the 65nm and the 55nm cards. I suppose there is huh? Lol

And I have no qualms about buying a $30-35 unisink and cutting some metal off of it for it to fit with an aircooler. As long as it fits the card, I'll make the aircooler fit around it.

from what i recall... there was a PCB layout change from 65nm to 55nm..

in any case, i'm sure you could make it fit.

or i'm utterly wrong.
