I used some Arctic Silver Ceramic and squirted a dab between the capacitors that are all lined up towards the rear of the card. I put enough in to bridge the gap between them and it seem to have stopped their vibrating/noise under load.

Cool, I heard that a dab of hot glue or nail polish remover will also stop the sqeeling caps.

are you talking about the top of the caps where they are split in like 3 slices? those are there for a reason to vent the caps when they overheat, or when they fail, they simply split instead of blowing up. its a safety thing, I would not recommend coivering the top up with anything. the noises are because teh cap is being stressed, not because they are failing.

Are we talking a high-pitched squeal? My 295 has that problem under high FPS (it also changes depending on clock speed, higher overclock = much higher pitch) and I've been wondering about doing something like this.

Just got my first can of liquid electrical tape. Its some urber stuff. I'd imagine it would work great for squealing caps. This stuff peels off nice and clean just like normal electrical tape. Would be easy to clean up if you had to RMA your card.

my 285 only squeels when loading 3dmark tests, or the begining / intro screens to games, other than that, its quiet.
