fx5500... need to overclock... pci... EEK!
Have fx5500 256mb PCI card.
Want to overclock, get the most out of it. Willing to void warrenty, personal choice, cheap purchase. I want to know why my nvidia control panel (classic or new...) WON"T SHOW OVERCLOCKING information like my previous rebuild... Any idea's would greatly help me! I'm hoping to get the best out of it.... Thanks! Le_Loup P.s. Attempting to use nvidia info prior to riva tuner or add'on's, Though am open to idea's, and suggestions (other then sticking 2,000 volts into it from a local power station......)

Have you downloaded Coolbits? It's a registry information thingy that enables overclocking and advanced tweaking in the nVidia control panel.

Get Coolbits here and reboot. It should come up in your nVidia CP

Tried coolbits on my fx5200.... it well, worked/didn't, it kinda just didn't like me...
How do I properly "install" it... officially? And can it increase the volt's slightly more? Just enough?

you can try ATITool for setting the clock speeds higher, it's what i use for my 7600

erm? ati tool for nvidia? Can it read/understand volt's? And adjust it as I want to? Or what? (confused)

I'll try coolbits first, but would that interfere if I try ati tool? Because i'm thinking permanent oc mb... Or... if I get somehow the information on the video card, (revision, etc), mb someone can get me a flash of their 6200 for me? (be nice... if it could work).

just look'n around and found this thread.if ur still looking 4 an answere....i'm using coolbits and this about all i can get outa my 5500oc on a pci bus and still be stable

Well I did get my previous 5500 that I had (before it died and had to replace it), it went to 330core / 470 memory, however the new one, is a tad "powercolor" if you get my meaning (it's not power color but it's... non leet). And I have a heckuvalota air to it, air flow, and hd's are a mere 24 celcius (only temp guages).
Any suggestions? Cause any oc = No likey....aka freeze/reboot...O_O Le_Loup Below (adjusting my main system specs) is what's currently in the pc. I could get pic's later...
