Default 8800 gts poor performance

16x AA enabled in game menu. Shouldn't this run this better?

i have also noticed fear extraction point is sluggish as well...

Try different drivers.

Also it's definatly time to upgrade your CPU and add in some more RAM.

Significantly bottleneck from the CPU. Try getting a dual core CPU for a better increase in FPS.

Doom 3 is multi-threaded? So, my CPU bottlenecks this at 1280x1024 16x aa/8x af that much?

None of this makes much sense to me. As i went from 1280x1024 res to 1600x1200 the CPU bottleneck should of been reduced but actually my FRAMES PER SECONDS in the main menu dips below 30. So, if i increase the res and my performance gets worse then it's the graphics card starting to **** itself. am i right?

as i increased the res to 1600x1200 the performance dropped even more.
