Does anyone else notice that Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction runs like **** on a 8800 series graphics card?
__________________I don't care how old this game is. I want to know if anyone else has any performance issues with this game on a 8800 GTS/GTX in Direct 3D mode. Another issue that hasn't been resolved or noticed by Nvidia is that Call of Duty stutters like crazy during intense fire fights. This isn't just happening to me but others as well. Google it. If you turn off Dynamic Lightning it fixes the stuttering in the game for some odd reason. Did i buy a $380 graphics card to put up with this? Yes, i would love to see someone tell me that my CPU is a bottleneck in Diablo and that's the reason for my poor performance. Note: When i change to Direct Draw mode all performance issues vanish. But i want the game in Direct 3d because it looks better.

I think it's just your system, do you still have the problem with Doom3?

Doesn't Diablo have like a fps cap or something? I know most older RPG games had fps caps in the 30-60s.

Try closing all background programs, expecially ones that would overlay like the one in your screenshot.

Tbqh for the OP, just run it in DirectDraw. Or try tweaking some stuff like perspective. Also, you can try the windowed method...you can try searching for it here (I posted the method) or ill just post it in a bit.
