Exclamation Can someone explain what these features do in the Nvidia CP??

This is a question regarding the Nvidia Control Panel.
Right now I have it set to "Let 3D Application decide" Setting. When you go to advance settings, I need some advice on some of the stuff in there. I know I could spend countless hours on Google to find what these settings do, But being a father of two little kids limits how much time I have on the computer. So is there anyone who has a spare moment who knows these settings and what they do, That can explain them to me? And if you can, Please be as thorough as you can. I really need some help here!
Antiliasing-Gamma correction
Force MipMaps
Stereo-Display Mode
Conformant Texture Clamp
T4exture Filtering-Negative LOD Bias
Triple Buffering
I know I could just put the Control panel on "Performance" and forget it, But I believe that I could get some better visuals if I knew how to tweak these settings. I have been on a mission to get Crysis running smooth with the new 169.09 Beta drivers.
So Far, I have been having a lot of trouble finding a sweet spot for playing the single player.
As it is I have All settings on high except Sound and water on med No AA or AF, I get around 20-25 FPS(Also motion blur and Depth of field are disabled). Now I get to the Control panel to help tweak things a little more, And I am very confused which settings to go with in there.
This is my first year using P.C.'s for Gaming, Man is it nice to be able to decide how good your game will look. Now that I am swimming with the Big boys so to speak, I need to learn how to Use my hardware to it's fullest. Thanx

You know man this would be a lot to explain, or a lot of typing, but you don't have to search all over the net to get some decent understanding of Nvidia Forceware, look no further than here.

I hope this helps you out, and good luck.

Thanx, I guess some reading will help. Great article.
One question so far. When you use the "Enhance the Application" Setting for AA, How do you enable the 8XQAA or 16XQAA Link:http://guru3d.com/article/content/391/22/
I can't seem to find the option to use it. According to that link, 16XQAA is faster than regular AA?!?!? If that is correct, WOW. If I am wrong, Can someone explain this to me. Thanx
