Default New driver for Geforce 7800GTX emerges

Quote:
Nvidia has a new driver for all of the guys who are testing G70, Geforce 7800GTX cards. It's called 77.62 and it hasn't been leaked, yet. We know it exists and you will be able to find a rather interesting stting inside it, the well known nv4_disp.inf file.

I can bet it will make your two Geforce 7800GTX cards to rock your world even using SLI, but now it's for nice journos only not for the public.

You will like this string: NVIDIA_G70.DEV_0091.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX" at least we did.

It's just less than 30MB heavy and we don’t know whether it is WHQL or not. We guess it could be.

We cannot send it to you as we don’t have it here, we just know about it.

you cant compare core clocks on completely different architectures/ generations... my 6800 gts core is only 370 and its a vastly stronger card than a 5950 ultra

yea agreed with TheNut, you can't really compare cvards like that. they all have different bit and Mb aperatures, along with pixel pipelines and vertex shaders.

so usually cards with higher clocks have lower pixelpipelines and run hotter.
