Card: EVGA 8800GT Superclocked Edition.
Cooling: Stock, fan at 100% Drivers: 175.19 Core: stock=650mhz Overclocked=720 mhz Shader: stock= 1620mhz Overclocked= 1782mhz Memory: stock=950mhz overclocked=1008mhz (2016 effective) Temps at full load: 69C Overclocking method: Using Rivatuner to increase speeds by 7-10mhz at a time, then testing with artifact scanner in ATItool for 3 minutes. Final overclock recieved a 10 minute ATItool test, followed by a few hours of Age of Conan. (I just reformatted the computer, and I'm on vacation, so I don't have any other games to test really. I mean, TF2 at max settings, but that's not super-strenuous.) So, good? Bad? Any suggestions are VERY welcome. Thanks!

That is pretty modest with SSC edition. As far as I know, SSC already does 1.1v to GPU core, and has looser memory timings than standard 8800GT, so you should be able to get at least the core to 740 to 760 or so. I got my standard 8800GT with 1.1v Bios Mod to achieve 738-1782-950. I am stable at 755-1830-1000, but I can't play Crysis without locking up after 2 hours.

Nice... I got a great CPU by luck and bad GPU by luck. Mine fails 3DMark06 immediately at 765 (linked) and above. Oh well, I guess I will just work with it until I upgrade to 9800 or something... Kinda makes me a little jealous though.

Really? Well wow, I can't get it any higher than this. After these clocks, ATItool gives me a ton of those little yellow flicks, which I interpet as artifacts. How do you guys do it?

And here I was, proud at my overclock. Did I get a crappy card? Because this is the absolute highest that I can push it, unless I'm doing something wrong. See my last post, but like I said, any higher, and I get the little yellow flicks in ATItool scans. They aren't picked up as artifacts by the program, but my understanding is that they are, in fact, artifacts. Could my CPU/RAM OC be hurting it? I have my 5600+ running at 3.2ghz, stable in 12hours of orthos and months of running vista and games. Oh, I also only have a PCI-E x16 slot, not a PCI-E 2.0. Could that be it?

Don't quote me, but I don't think 8800GT uses PCI-E 2.0. I think PCI-E 2.0 has something to do with SLI configuration and being able to run 2 x16 with higher bandwidth. Don't quote me though...
__________________In my experience, you only benefit with ram oc when you are running your games with high resolutions like on a 22 or 24 inch monitors. Lower your mem and see if it helps. You might have ended up with just average GPU... like me...
